Gannett Fleming is looking for a Project Controls Manager for our Boston, MA office. The Project Controls Manager directly supports medium to large scale projects by providing leadership, direction, and hands-on management for a large, complex program. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience supporting large scale transit and/or projects and the knowledge/experience with core technical areas of the program.

What You Will Do
Gannett Fleming is looking for a Project Controls Manager for our Boston, MA office. The Project Controls Manager directly supports medium to large scale projects by providing leadership, direction, and hands-on management for a large, complex program. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience supporting large scale transit and/or projects and the knowledge/experience with core technical areas of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, update, and monitor individual critical path method project schedules and integrated overall master program schedules using P6.
- Review schedule, progress and productivity of consultants and contractors, monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value, conduct change order management and control.
- Develop, manage, and monitor program and project specific budgets, cash flow projections and forecasts.
- Evaluate and adjust data regarding cost status, resource requirements, commitment data and productivity variance reports.
- Establish and ensure scheduling and cost control standards are implemented.
- Perform risk analysis functions as required.
- Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, and other consultants on all control related activities.
- Attend meetings with project managers to review and approve baseline schedules, cost reports, and attend regularly scheduled meetings as necessary to stay current on schedules and costs.
- Support management of the Change Management process using Project Management tools and update project change notice and cost projections weekly.
- Work with program management team members to facilitate delivery of all necessary change notice scope and cost documents from design and construction management consultants to obtain client approval.
- Work with document controls to deliver project deliverables and documentation to clients.
- Prepare Power Point presentations for management use including the management of monthly meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.- Minimum 10 years of project controls and scheduling experience including experience on a design build project.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on rail projects.
- One or more of the following credentials is strongly preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Schedule Professional).
- Experience with advanced scheduling principles using Primavera 6 (P6) and MS Project.
- Experience with SharePoint, ProjectWise, E-Builder and Primavera Contract Manager (PCM) or similar software preferred.
- Familiarity with project accounting and general financial management, document management, cost management, change management, and project compliance processes & audits.
