Due to continued growth, our Power Delivery group is seeking a Project Manager for preferably our Kennesaw, GA or Tampa, FL office. Although these offices are preferred locations, we will also consider candidates working from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Lake Mary, FL, or Birmingham, AL offices.

Responsibilities (including but are not limited to)

• Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to an established schedule and within budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, project management plans, project quality plans.
• Manage assigned project staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
• Supports development of detailed project reports.
• Be responsible for managing proposal creation.
• Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status.
• Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients, act as a single point of contact for assigned projects.
• Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfaction.
• Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-up.

Required Qualifications / skills

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years' experience in engineering, construction, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and 6 years of applicable experience.
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
• Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams.
• Ability to successfully negotiate on behalf of the Company on project-related issues, services, and change orders.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.

Preferred Qualifications / skills

• Contract experience or experience successfully negotiating contracts is preferred.
• MS Project or P6 experience is highly desirable.
• PMP or willingness to get PMP is highly desirable.
• Direct electric utility experience is a plus.

Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.
