Property Inspector Job at Blessed Properties
A property inspector is responsible for evaluating the condition of a property, typically to identify its current state, and issues or potential for future problems.
The main job of a property inspector is to conduct a thorough inspection of the property, which is conducted periodically throughout 12 months. Properties are inspected during the 3rd, 7th, and 11th months of a 12-month lease. Property Manager's Inventory & Condition Reports (PMICRs) and Move-out Inspections are also performed by the Property Inspector.
Inspections may include the interior and exterior of the property, including but not limited to: walls, flooring, light fixtures, water fixtures, HVAC, water heaters, doors, windows, window screens, blinds, garage doors, roof, fencing, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and other components.
During the inspection, the property inspector will look for any defects, damage, or safety hazards that could affect the health of someone living there. They will also take photographs and detailed notes to document their findings and prepare a report for the client.
Overall, the role of a property inspector is to provide an objective and detailed assessment of the condition of a property, helping the Property Manager make informed decisions about how a tenant/resident is maintaining the property.
