Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Advanced Development Programs (ADP) - also known as the Skunk Works is seeking a motivated and experienced Proposal Analyst. Skunk Works is an important part of the Aeronautics business area responsible for new business capture, advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions, improvements, and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multifaceted teammate who loves to solve our customers most difficult challenges. This exciting position is located at Palmdale, CA and offers an excellent opportunity to provide expert pricing support within the ADP Pricing & Estimating organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of ADP proposals; overseeing the compilation of cost, schedule, and technical elements in the proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) requirements; providing research & analysis of historical data, and development of cost models to support proposal efforts; coordinating estimating activities, participating in should-cost & pricing reviews with peers, management and customer representatives, fact-finding meetings and negotiations. Additional activities include mentoring less experienced employees on all estimating business aspects; initiating process improvements to enhance productivity & efficiencies; and performing special assignments when required.
***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have the ability to obtain a secret level clearance after hire.***

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $99,800 - $187,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience using proposal pricing systems such as, PROPRICER, PCTOPS, CPS or BOE tool usage
- Familiarity or experience with TINA/CAS/DFAR/FAR Part 15 proposal requirements
- Experience manipulating data and coordinating complex estimates with changing requirements
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Presentation skills along with the ability to develop training material
- Experience in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and the development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or other related discipline, with minimum of 10 years industry related experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related master's degree; or equivalent experience/combined education
- Self Starter who requires little supervision
- Critical thinking and motivation to further understand complex financial and business concepts
- Leadership and interpersonal skills; effective in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and achieve program goals and meet team deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Lockheed Martin policies and procedures
- Pricing or functional estimating experience in materials, engineering, operations, and/or sustainment
- Experience, with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced or expert level
