Description
– Assisting both the order processing dept, processing orders, as well assisting the Port Dispatcher for import.
– Responsible for dispatching company’s drivers for pickup and delivery of shipments through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
– Establishing and coordinating schedules with drivers and shipments.
– Tracking and tracing all shipments and monitor load status.
– Helping drivers to troubleshoot issues.
– Performing administrative functions necessary in the daily operations.
– Entering data into current system for reference.
– Performing other job related functions as needed.
– Doing import procedures and Customs Clearance.
– Processing orders for customers.
– Collecting information for orders from sales representatives.
– Ensuring order information is complete and verify customer and order information for correctness.
– Checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
– Communicating missing information to sales representatives.
– Entering orders timely and accurately.
– Estimating and tracking of shipment.
– Any other duties that may be assigned light clerical duties such as copying, faxing, and emailing.
– Checking necessary documents and filing them properly.
– Preparing invoices, shipping document, and contracts.
– Informing customers by mail or telephone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
– Receiving and responding to customer complaints.
– Directing specified departments or units to prepare and ship orders to designated locations.

Skills/ Requirements
– Must be able to type at least 45 WPM
– Must be able to do MULTI TASK
– Great communication
– Microsoft Outlook/ Word/ Excel
– QuickBooks
– Confidentiality
– Attention to details
– Knowledge in Import procedures and Customs Clearance (Preferred but not required)
– Port Dispatch (Preferred but not required)
