Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
Pay Rate: $19.06/Hr
Duration: 2 Months
Location: Calumet City, IL
- Indirect Material Purchasing – Office/breakroom supplies, operating materials, PPE, uniforms, and other items as identified
- Procedures/Paperwork – support procedure changes, oversee file structure, and adhere to the Records Retention program
- Purchasing of raw materials
- Placing orders in SAP for operating supplies
- Reviewing batch sheets for confirmation accuracy
- Interacting with vendors for issues with uniforms, supply vending machines
- Updating and issuing schedules for inbound and outbound deliveries
- Entering process data into spreadsheets from batch sheets
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must be detailed oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed, and strong math skills
- Experience working with SAP (or other ERP)
- Knowledge of safe work practices, OSHA, DOT, and Environmental rules and regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) tools
- Experience in Union environment a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $19.06 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
