Actalent is looking for a Quality Supervisor for Pooler GA! This position is responsible for managing/leading the shop floor inspection operations organization.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

.Personnel management/development and improvement/development of systems.

.Apply Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques for continuous improvement and feedbackof product quality along with production throughput.

.Ensure schedule achievement to Quality Standards

.Ensure daily production targets are met

.Support ongoing initiatives by ensuring all team members are updated and informed regularly

.Understand and drive the quality standards within your area(s) including coaching andtraining Team Leaders to do the same

.Manage the implementation of the Production System in your area(s) to ensure continuousimprovement through Kaizen and 5S

.Effectively manage budgeted resources by analyzing problem areas and actively pursuing andencouraging cost savings

.Ensure that you and your team understand and use safe systems of work in the area and followcompany environmental practices.

.Ensure that proper training for all team members is maintained

.Provide direct personnel management including setting of goals, quality oversight andperformance evaluations

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training in manufacturing

Five years of experience with quality in a manufacturing environment

Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

Ten years experience as Quality Inspections Operations in a Configurable Manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP

. Understand the complexities of interacting with support functions in an organization

. Ability to influence and manage change within the business, promoting creative problem solving and continuous improvement

. Excellent time management and planning skills

. Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels within an organization

. Effective listening skills

. Ability to motivate staff and deliver results

. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

Physical Requirements

. Must be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to 12 hour shifts/6 days a week

. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs

. Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions

. Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist

. Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed

. Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force

. Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time

. Must be able to work in multiple climates including: hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
