The successful candidate for this position has responsibilities for overseeing, coordinating, supervising and performing all daily activity involved in monitoring, measuring and testing of stamped, welded and assembled components, including compiling and performing all levels of PPAP studies, layouts, part and component buy-off, and being the liaison for vendor and customer quality related activities.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in an effective manner with customers, suppliers and coworkers.
• Ensure the maintenance and improvement of the Quality System in order to meet or surpass defined levels of quality certification.
• Develop, coordinate and perform internal and customer directed layouts and PPAP’s.
• Coordinate, review and approve vendor PPAP’s and related activity.
• Coordinate and support First Piece and Last Piece approval process.
• Lead Corrective Action activities ensuring appropriate participation and closure.
• Work with manufacturing operations to develop Control Plans, Work Instructions, FMEA’s and Process Flows.
• Manage customer and vendor quality interactions.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering or related field with a minimum of three years experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance. An Associate’s Degree with a minimum of five years experience in a Manufacturing Quality Engineer role may be acceptable.
• Three years experience in metal stamping manufacturing or similar industry.
• Strong proficiency of layouts with laser scanning arms and CMM's.
• Extensive experience in performing quality audits of all types.
• Extensive experience in APQP as well as all levels of PPAP.
• Ability to manage and interact with staff in an effective manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
