Quality Manager within a development project. This position will be part of the North American Electrification Technology Quality team.
Job Description:
1) All project development quality related topics within the Project Life Cycle (PLC) from quote approved until production launch completed.
2) Leading and/or performing all quality related activities and work products as defined.
3) Prevent failures and continuously improve our products / systems / processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
4) Project Management
a) During the Feasibility Review, the QMP is responsible for analyzing all Customer Quality requirements, and inputs results into the quote process and through-out the PLC process
b) Develop and maintain Project Quality Plan to assure qualified product development and flawless launches, Perform project gate review and report in e-PSR
c) Actively pursuing that the required processes and methods in a project are implemented and applied correctly in time and with good quality
d) Ensure that Special Characteristics are linked between documents such as D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Control Plans, Flowcharts, Specifications, Drawings, etc.
e) Review/approve qualification plan with team (design validation, process validation) in order to ensure product reliability and compliance with internal and external requirements
5) Customer Quality Management
a) Drive problem solving during design development, testing, customer complaints, and issue 8D report during project R&D phase.
b) Coordinate PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities and submit report to customer for approval
c) Prepare and participate in customer audits and visits.
d) Support issue finding or root cause analysis for the return parts from field.
6) KPI Reporting & Escalation
a) Lessons Learned & Quality process Driving
b) Escalate to PM or management team about the project risks.
c) Monthly project quality status reporting.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Technical/Engineering focus preferred)
- More than 5 years’ experience in automotive project/plant quality management (knowledge in electronic and mechanic components). Work experience in electric drives or power electronics products is a plus
- Familiar with IATF16949, ASPICE (internal auditor or leader auditor preferred). Familiar with Automotive Core Tools - APQP/FMEA/MSA/SPC/PPAP
- Excellent English in oral and writing
- Some travel will be necessary
