    Job Title: Quality Operations Program Manager

    Job Summary:

    MVP's Quality department focuses on improving the clinical well-being of MVP members by focusing on improving key metrics of care. The Quality department is seeking a fast paced, organized, and driven candidate for the position of Quality Program Manager. This position will direct report to the Director, Quality Operations and will support the development, implementation of quality initiatives and programs in alignment with departmental and organizational strategy.

    Achieves objectives by supporting planning, understanding program requirements, preparing, and executing action plans, coordinating stakeholders, detailed project documentation and follow up with project leads , resolving problems, identifying trends, metric development, determining improvement areas, implementing change and monitoring to ensure successful execution. Represents Quality on corporate level initiatives and will identify cross-project dependencies to proactively mitigate as necessary.

    The candidate should be analytical and comfortable with data and technology.

    The candidate should be an independent thinker, curious, a strong collaborator, have excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize multiple demands in an aggressive paced environment.

    Specifically, this candidate will be responsible for:
    • Understanding member's unmet needs as it relates to obtaining care and achieving wellness.
    • Leveraging data to develop, implement, and evaluate effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives rooted in evidence-based practices.
    • Designing and implementing pilots, programs, partnerships, and initiatives with external and internal partners to help MVP members obtain care and combat health disparities.
    • Leveraging technology to coordinate multiple stakeholders to develop and implement innovations that allow for continuous improvement in quality performance.
    • Participating and leading cross functional teams. Communicating with management on status of projects including resource gaps and needs.
    • Developing and building content to support decision making, understanding of quality intervention plans and execution.
    • Understanding CMS/NYS program requirements and researching the external environment related to Quality improvement and innovations.
    • Supporting other Quality Improvement processes as needed.

    Minimum Education:

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or Health Sciences/Services, Analytics related field degree preferred.

    Minimum Experience:
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in public health, healthcare operations or project management preferred.
    • Prior experience with leading/facilitating cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at once while achieving desired results required.
    • Demonstrated experience using data to drive decision making required.
    • Strong leadership, project management and/or business analysis background.
    • Experience working with clinical data in support of delivering population health, gaps in care, and executing plans to combat health disparities beneficial.
    • Experience working in SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Suite or similar technologies required.
    • Experience employing various Agile techniques (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.) preferred.

    Required Skills:
    • Possess strong project management and planning skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and written, facilitate meetings, effectively lead discussions, prepare/deliver presentations for internal/external audiences, prioritize tasks, projects, etc. in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment: a curiosity and eagerness to solve big challenges and ability to manage projects independently.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
    • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and follow through.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to prioritize work and resolve issues using sound judgment to improve processes and drive change.
    • Detailed knowledge of healthcare operations and datasets beneficial.
    • Strong results-oriented team player with a passion for driving cross functional collaboration.
    • Interpersonal skills (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring), and the ability to interact with most levels of business, technical and end users.
    • Team oriented: Comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments.
    • Complies with company ethics policies.
