Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspecting output samples and incoming purchased items using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality
• Ensure that the manufacturing adheres to quality standards and procedures and complying with QA/QC requirements.
• Reviewing blueprints and BOM specifications to compare to manufactured products.
• Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
• Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
• Proposing improvements to the production process
• Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
• Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs
• Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensional measurements of product.
• Test functional performance of system, and subassemblies.
• Perform mass spectrometer testing on manufactured equipment.
• Examines weld joints to detect flaws, such as cracks, cold weld, spatter, and undercuts.
• Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
• Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
• Determining the causes of product defects and reworks
• Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly.
• Confer with engineering, production, and others to resolve problems.
• Label equipment with tags and serial numbers
• Audit QA procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor or Associate degree preferred
• Proficient in MS Office programs
• 2 – 4 years QA/QC experience in manufacturing environment
• Welding knowledge beneficial
• VT Certification (visual inspection) and/or BT Certification (bubble leak) preferred.
• Audit Certification (ISO) preferred.
