Job Profile Summary
The Records Analyst is responsible and accountable for the operation of the file room where incumbent is located and coordinating with technical data coordinators to ensure data is managed within established service level agreement timeframes and PNR Records and Information Policy.

Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
  • Primary contact for either various asset teams serving file requests and administrative needs across various business units that store active records managed by the Records Management Department, OR, one team serving as a primary contact.
  • Coordinate small scale projects and identify resources needed.
  • Utilize and update imaging capture software and repository.
  • Coordinate with geoscience team to identify, organize and catalog incoming seismic data; assist geoscience team with seismic data processing.
  • Plot and print logs, differentiating various types of well logs.
  • Perform in-depth searches involving complex search criteria (i.e., large geographic areas or various depths and formations).
  • Contact vendors to obtain well data not received in a timely fashion or updated formats of licensed data; correct data that fails quality control standards.
  • Identify space management issues within the assigned file room ensuring most active files are in satellite file room while relocating less active files to the central file room.
  • Prepare data for data room viewing and divestitures, based on specifics defined by Business Development.
  • Utilize Trango for cataloging/maintaining our data.
  • Load digital data using appropriate naming conventions/protocols and separate according to licensing agreements/restrictions.
  • Perform extensive searching in Enerdeq database, WellView, and digital well directory.
  • Search the PNR drive where pristine digital well logs are stored in instances where we do not have the type of physical well log needed.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years administrative support experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • High school education or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • In-depth knowledge of all technical data types managed.
  • Able to research in various internal and external database systems to identify legacy data and find data that has not been provided for physical files.
  • Must be proficient with the databases for regulatory agencies, WellView, Trango, and TGS log, as well as software such as Enerdeq.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities, including ability to train subordinates and work well with other groups.
  • Ability to lift and move without other assistance individual record containers weighing up to 75 lbs continuously throughout the work day; also on occasion, ability to lift and move with other assistance individual record containers weighing >75 lb.
