Recreation Therapist Job at Segal Institute for Clinical Research
Responsible for evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of patients in terms of leisure and recreational pursuits.
Plan programs of activities for those patients who need the intervention of a structured recreational therapy program.
Develop, conduct and evaluate a diversified program of activities to individual patients.
Organize records, maintain, and order equipment and supplies.
Provide care to patients in a manner that considers safety, respect, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
Demonstrate a commitment to service, company values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times.
Adhere to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines.
Work collaboratively and supports efforts of team members.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.
Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
Report to duty at physical locations other than the primary assigned location(s) on an as-needed basis. The fluctuating nature of the industry and the existence of multiple physical business addresses mean that employees must be prepared to adjust work location within reason as dictated by business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy.
- Certification as a Registered Recreational Therapist.
- Minimum 1 year experience.
- Experience in a Behavioral Health setting preferred.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with other disciplines, and communicate relevant clinical details in writing as well as orally.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age/disability specific needs of the patient served on their assigned duties.
Schedule: Thursday through Sunday 12pm - 8pm
