Recruiter/HR Generalist

Overview

Vector Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Professional with excellent knowledge of US Employment Law and Human Resources policies and procedures to provide support to our Federal and Defense contracting unit. This position will be heavily weighted toward recruiting (75%). SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certification in Human Resources Management highly preferred. In this position you will join our dynamic team in providing support to colleagues working in the DoD, DoS & DoE contracts program. A highly qualified candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Additionally, the most qualified candidates will have experience recruiting for a Defense Contractor.

Please note: This is a Full- Time (remote eligible) position. The position will be based out of the NW FL and Tampa, FL areas.

Duties:

• Network online and offline to promote Vector Solutions as brand and reduce time-to-hire and longevity of employment
• Maintain company, employee, and client confidentiality with respect to sensitive information
• Write and post technical job descriptions on relevant social media or candidate platforms
• Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes
• Arrangement of telephone, video, or in-person interviews
• Perform background and reference checks
• Create and send personalized recruiting emails with current open opportunities
• Composition of job offer letters
• Onboard new hires
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is desired. Must have 2 years of professional HR experience in a business setting. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of professional HR experience in a business setting.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with above average Excel skills
• An ability to understand the strategic and operational context of our business, specifically a dynamic defense contracting program

• A proven track record of supporting a dynamic business environment
• Be agile and resilient with problem solving and people management skills
• Excellent planning & organizational skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Proactive and self-motivated approach
• Excellent IT skills. Must be willing to travel
• Successful candidate should have had previous experience in a professional services business with structured HR processes and policies. The candidate must possess exceptional inter-personal skills and have a proven capability in managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

• HR Certification highly preferred.
• DOD experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Service Contract Act populations is highly preferred
• Security Clearance a plus
