JOB TITLE: RECRUITMENT OFFICER
REPORTS TO: RECRUITMENT & PEOPLE MANAGER
STATUS: Hourly
SALARY RANGE: $30-$35/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing a range of programs including the recruitment and hiring process, onboarding new employees and employer branding while actively promoting the employee culture to advance Tidal Vision’s mission. Other duties of this role may include supporting a variety of other programs such as company culture programs, internal job transfers, compensation and benefits, state/federal leave programs, L&I, compliance, expanding business operations, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strategic partner in talent acquisition to meet growing business operations including managing effective recruitment programs, selection processes, hiring and onboarding activities.
- Creates and manages employment branding efforts to support our future recruiting needs.
- Maintains focus on hiring to ensure a diverse, inclusive workforce.
- Maintains focus on hiring to ensure alignment with the company's culture.
- Creates new job descriptions and job advertisements, posts job openings on various platforms, sources and recruits candidates, and conducts multi-step interviews for a wide variety of positions including technical and non-technical roles.
- Manages external relationships and contracts with providers of HR-related services such as staffing agencies, headhunting firms, screening services, etc.
- Welcomes newly hired employees and sets them up for success through our onboarding journey, including onboarding paperwork, company introduction and culture trainings, introducing the teams, onboarding follow-up meetings, etc.
- Supports a variety of other HR programs such as company culture programs, internal job transfers, compensation and benefits, state/federal leave programs, L&I, compliance, expanding business operations, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Challenging the status quo and proactively identifying process improvements.
- Identifying innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more engaging onboarding experience.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Drives the organization of company-sponsored events, activities, and functions.
- Conducts research and collects data on human resource programs and practices.
- Helps develop or coordinate professional development programs, to include on-site and off-site training opportunities.
- Attends staff meetings, training, or other company events as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources management, communications or related field or equivalent experience, required.
- A minimum of 1 year of recruitment or equivalent experience, required.
- Experience recruiting into a company’s culture, required.
- Strong cultural competence and/or experience or understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, and conflict resolution skills for a professional setting are a must.
- Federal, state and local laws pertaining to employment law and labor relations.
- Excellent writing/grammar and interpersonal communication skills (including effective phone skills)
- Must be self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency towards action and results.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) or demonstrated ability to learn.
- Critical thinking skills; ability to make independent and sound decisions.
- Possess solid verbal & written communication, presentation & negotiation skills.
Licensing & Special Requirements
- Washington State Driver’s license and proof of insurance required by time of hire
- Incumbent is subject to a background check
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most of the work is performed in an office setting but will require occasional travel outside the office. May require sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to move throughout the office to interact with employees. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in-person with background noise. Must be able to consistently identify objects and persons at a distance and read fine print on various forms.
