Qualifications:

• New Jersey RN license is a must
• RN Experience is a must preferrably 1 year up. Ventilator or Trache Experience
• Is responsible for maintaining clinical competency as evidenced by application of integrated nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and communication skills.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Exhibits organizational ability related to workflow, prioritizing to meet the patient care needs
• The Vent Unit Nurse is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, monitoring, teaching, and training.
• Relevant training and/or certifications as an RN Nurse
• Integrates current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to nursing services in the care of patients.
• Must be caring, compassionate, good communication skills, have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Complete required record keeping in regards to your role in admitting, transferring and discharging residents.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and support personnel daily to plan the shifts’ services, programs and activities to ensure the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
• Prepare and administer medications and review medication cards for completeness and accuracy.
• Review resident care plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches and revisions based on nursing needs.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and make daily rounds of your unit to ensure staff is providing direct care in accordance with resident’s care plan and wishes.
• Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident and resident’s response to care.
