Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a motivated and dynamic RN/Director of Critical Care Operations to join one of the most advanced and refined healthcare systems.
The RN/Director of Critical Care Operations will join a private, not-for-profit community hospital that has spent 75 years committed to transforming care, advancing health, and improving lives.
Responsibilities:
The
RN/Director of Critical Care Operations is responsible for:
- Delivery of quality care to critically ill adult patients.
- Promotes evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and nurse satisfaction.
- Advances strategies that promote teamwork, communication, standardized processes of care, engagement in quality improvement, and create a safety culture.
- Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities for the Critical Care Units by embracing innovations in technology, therapeutics, and processes to ensure the goals of critical care medicine are met.
- Assures that the nursing care meets legal, ethical, institutional, and professional standards. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and Joint Commission standards

- Asst Chief Clin Offcr/ACNO [Assistant Chief Nursing Officer]/AVP [Assistant Vice President]
Supervises:
RN/ Nurse Manager
Administrative Coordinator
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Master’s or Doctor's (or other graduate) degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
Experience:
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in budgeting, strategic planning, shared governance, and quality improvement; strong knowledge of nursing practice standards and administrative standards of practice.
Certification/License/Registry:
- Required: Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS). BLS, ACLS and PALS.
- Required: Certification in clinical specialty (e.g., Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)) or in nursing administration (e.g., Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) or Nurse Executive/Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified (NE/NEA-BC)).
- Required: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
