Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be the patient and patient’s family advocate. You will consistently apply and utilize the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care to patients. You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes and model confidence and professionalism within nursing by actively engaging in unit and organizational activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assessment: You will conduct comprehensive, timely, and ongoing focused physical, psycho-social, and pain assessments, including assessing patient education needs.
• Planning: You will use the assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and formulate goals, teaching plans, and outcomes to create an individualized plan of care. You will identify individual patient goals, readiness to learn, and incorporate the family into the plan of care.
• Implementation: You will prioritize and implement a competent, prioritized, and efficient nursing plan of care.
• Evaluation/Reassessment: You will consistently conduct timely evaluations, anticipate and recognize changes in patient conditions, determine when reassessments are needed, and adjust the plan of care as necessary. You will compare expected and achieved outcomes of nursing care utilizing the plan of care.

Qualifications:

• Education: You must be a graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: You must have an RN license to practice as a professional registered nurse in the state of Texas or Compact License. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience/Skills: You must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a licensed RN and at least 1.5 years of clinical experience in the Labor and Delivery unit in an acute care setting.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $26.79/hr - $37.98/hr per hour, depending on years of experience. SOB and Relocation are on a case-by-case basis pending HR approval.
