Job Description Summary
The Manager of the Women Services and Labor & Delivery is a registered and professional nurse who serves under the leadership of the Director of Nursing for MUSC Lancaster. The manager supervises and directs nursing care, and all related activities, in a designated area according to policies, procedures, mission and objectives of MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center. The Manager of the Women Services and Labor & Delivery Department is responsible for recommending, developing, and implementing policies and procedures in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and for informing the CNO of both progress and potential problems in the absence of the director. The manager will provide professional nursing care, initiate contact with the physicians and patients to establish and address needs and expectations, and serve as a resource person for other staff members. The manager is also responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery and for collaborating with all members of the health care team. The Manager of Women Services and Labor & Delivery will be required to work at least 40 hours per week with a minimum of 12 hours in a clinical shift.Entity

Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: BSN degree required. A minimum of five years of experience as a RN in Women Services and Labor & Delivery Department preferred. Minimum of two years of management experience required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Crisis Prevention required. TNCC and ER AACN certifications preferred.
