Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

Job Location: Hackensack Meridian Health, 1945 State Route 33, Neptune, New Jersey, US. - 07754

Schedule Notes: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 3 x 12hr shift | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required As Needed | No On-Call Requirement | Float Requirement: Yes

Job Summary:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
• Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centerpiece care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

• Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing - Required.
• Current license by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing - Required.
• BSN - Preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

License: RN (Registered Nurse)

Certificate: BLS (AHA) | NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) | ACLS - AHA (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) | COVID Booster Required

Experience required: 2 years’ experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in Leukemia & Lymphoma, Inpatient setting, Chemotherapy administration by ONS (Oncology Nursing Society), telemetry certification required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
