The Registrar manages all aspects of collections including care, documentation, movement, storage and reproduction, and assists with Exhibition and loans as needed.
- Process all acquisitions and deaccessions for the Museum:
- Coordinate and document the movement of the collection, scheduling installations with curatorial department and art handlers.
- Create and implement collection re-housing and storage upgrades.
- Assist with the development and implementation of collection management policies and procedures, including security, disaster, and emergency plans.
- Assist with the collections committee meetings.
- Assist with the annual art-audit inventory of collection objects and conducts regular internal art-audits of collection objects.
- Maintain TMS Database:
- Assist in administering the museum's image Rights and Reproduction program.
- Provide reference assistance; answer general questions about the collection for the public. Book research appointments.
- Create security gallery sheets for permanent collection galleries, and at the Historic House.
- Serve on the internal Historic House committee
- Complete entry and exit forms and is present to witness when art enters or exits the building.
- Serve as a courier for outgoing loans as needed.
