Role: Renovation Tech

Reports to: Operations Director

Compensation: TBD; Based on experience

Location: Oshkosh

Summary: As a Renovation Technician you will be working in a team environment with the ability to directly impact the experience our residents receive by helping to enhance/renovate the look and feel of the properties. In this role you will work with a small team to update the interior of the units and make it a place our residents are proud to call home and represent the Focus brand. Your attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines is a critical component to this role.

What you are great at: (responsibilities)

No days are ever the same - however, a typical day will most likely include the following:

• Keep safety top of mind
• Assist in the process of updating/remodeling a unit between tenants, including installing new flooring, cabinets, vanities, lighting, appliance, etc.
• Work quickly and efficiently while balancing quality
• Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, etc., and will replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste.
• Transporting yourself, tools and at times job materials to and from job sites.
• Work specific tasks of the renovation independently within a team environment to meet time standards for the renovation
• Work well under pressure and deadlines
• Interact with residents and coworkers with professionalism and respect, representing the Focus brand in a positive light

What you have Achieved: (requirements)

• Must be 18 years of age or older
  
  • Basic technical skills and general experience working with properties preferred
  • 1–3 years of technical education preferred (but not required) in any of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing and/or experience working in any of the following areas: basic door repair, HVAC filter changing, carpentry, power equipment/mechanical repair and basic equipment trouble-shooting
  • Safely carrying, lifting, pulling, or pushing heavy objects up to 100 lbs
  • Effective communication skills
