Position Highlights:

- Location: Evasnton, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
- Required Travel: Yes; required to travel other location within the NorthShore legacy depend on projects
- Education Bachelor-level coursework with Clinical laboratory experience
- Certification: MT or MLT(ASCP) highly preferred
- Experience:
- Experience leading projects and teams
- Previous clinical or health services research experience (preferred)
- A commitment to producing high-quality work
- Basic understanding of the research process
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- Ability and willingness to learn new techniques to deploy on current and future studies
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and its usage.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Skills: Qualitative analysis software experience (preferred)
In this role, you will:
- Recruit and consent patients from a variety of NorthShore sites
- Maintain organized and detailed study records
- Perform data entry, quality control, and cleaning tasks in order to prepare data for statistical analyses
- Collect biological samples
- Responsible for performing a variety of fundamental and technically complex diagnostic procedures in all areas of Microbiology and Molecular as authorized by the Manager
- Performs routine qualitative and quantitative tests to determine the basic components and characteristics of biological specimens and samples
- Ship samples to the study reference laboratory
- Manipulate and summarize data and present it in a variety of ways including powerpoint presentations
- Perform scientific literature searches as required
- Conduct participant interviews and deploy surveys
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-stocked, and safe work area work area
- Participate in abstract, poster and manuscript preparation
