In this role you will oversee the overall day to day operation of the skilled nursing community and supervise all skilled nursing staff.

This individual is responsible for assisting the Resident Program Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating and coordinating a wide variety of multi-level recreational and educational activities for the residents of the community. This position reports to the Resident Program Director. Every other weekend is required along with alternating holidays and one evening per week (Wednesday).

Essential Functions:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities.
• Encourage resident participation in programs and activities. Provide resident transport to programs and activities as needed.
• Assist with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
• Conduct various activities at the direction of the Resident Program Director.
• Maintain necessary activity supplies, which may include outside purchasing.
• Follow departmental budget guidelines.

• Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Level of Formal Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent form of a two-yea college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training Area of Study: Recreation, activities, geriatrics, and/or exercise science or a related field Years of Experience: Entry Level (0-3 years) Type of Experience: Experience conducting programs and activities for seniors Special Certifications: N/A Language Skills: N/A Technical Competencies: N/A Skills and Ability: • Demonstrated programming capabilities.
