About Ian's Pizza

On Halloween of 2001, we opened our first shop in Madison, WI. Mac n' cheese pizza was basically unheard of back then (sources not cited), and we were blasting Emo tunes like the angsty young'uns we were. But it's 2023, and our little restaurant franchise is all grown up now!

We have 9 stores in Denver, Madison, Milwaukee, and Seattle. Pies literally fly out of the ovens for lunch, dinner, and late-night munchies. And we owe all this success to our people. So people are our priority. Between the collaborations with local nonprofits and our career opportunities and benefits, we are constantly working on living up to our vision of being the People's Pizza.

Team Member Job Duties and Expectations

You'll be working at the counter at the Front of House or making pizzas in the Back of House! The major tasks of FOH include: greeting customers, tossing salads, slinging slices into the finishing ovens, and ringing people up. You'll also be answering phones and entering those orders into our system for pick-ups and deliveries. In the BOH, you'll stretch, top, and bake pizzas. Lots and lots of pizzas. While the #1 job is to serve customers or make pizzas, you're also going to do some cleaning and stocking. Not to brag... but we work with some really great people. So while you will be busy, you'll have a great team at your side.

To be successful at Ian's, you'll need to...

• Prioritize and ask for help when needed.
• Communicate clearly and kindly. Check in often!
• Be on time and ready to rock!
• Try, even if you don't get it 100% right. We don't expect perfection.
• Be generous with your time and positive energy.
• Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Be able to bend, crouch, and lift up to 20-50 lbs.
• Be able to use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business.
• Must be 18+ to apply.
• English language proficiency is required for the Front of House position.

Scheduling

This is not your typical 9-5. We're looking for people with availability for at least 1 weekend shift and 1 late night shift. Opening shifts typically start 1-2 hours before opening time, and closing shifts typically end 1-2 hours after closing time. Please check our website at ianspizza.com for our most up-to-date hours. Part time (less than 30 hours a week) or full time (30-40 hours a week) hours are available.

Wages and Other Benefits

General staff start at an hourly wage of $18/hour with an additional $1/hour for any time worked after 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and for any shift on Sundays. And, you get tips on top of that! Tips average to $3-10/hour depending on the day and shift. Tuesday lunch is probably closer to $3/hour, and Friday or Saturday late night is closer to $10/hour in tips.
