Responsibilities

The clinical nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients using the nursing process in accordance with the standards of professional nursing practice.

The clinical nurse performs in the professional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA); engaging in activities related to ethics, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation , resources utilization, environmental health, and patient advocacy as appropriate to clinical nursing practice.

Salary range: $51.87-$77.11 Hourly

Qualifications

Required Licenses, certifications, skills and abilities:

**Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN degree is required.
**Current and valid California RN license required.
**Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

**ACLS and PALS certifications
**Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire

Preferred certifications: CRN or CCRN

Also, you must:

have at least 3yrs. of recent acute care ICU, Cath lab or IR procedural experience

have knowledge of hemodynamic waveforms and monitoring, and can operate IABP, Impella, Rotablator, IVUS, and FFR

be willing to cross train to IR and cover outpatient areas.



Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment

Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care

Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters

Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork

Ability to wear lead and stand for long periods of time

Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues

Able to cover on call with 30-minute response.
