- Role: RV Maintenance Technician
- Position Type: Part-time; this job requires a flexible schedule with varied work hours that may include weekends. The maximum number of hours per week is 28. Work hours can be in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
- Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00, depending on experience.
- Location: Ocala, FL
What we are looking for in a Maintenance Technician Candidate:
- High School Diploma Preferred
- Excellent customer service skills - residents are our #1 priority, and team members are expected to WOW them daily
- Professional appearance
- Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies at the resort
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. repetitively
- Prior experience in campground maintenance a plus
- Basic knowledge and understanding of landscape equipment
- Must live locally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Effectively prioritize the tasks assigned for the day by completing work orders assigned through the Appfolio System (or any applicable PM system) with 100% of tasks being complete with quality workmanship.
- Upon completion of every service call, edit and update work orders with 100% accuracy of any remaining items to be completed with the materials specified needed for follow-up completion.
- Upon finishing each day, must ensure work orders are updated with notes on what was done and what work is yet to be completed in the Appfolio System.
- Prioritize Work Orders daily to ensure new move-ins experience the best experience possible; complete work orders and guest requests the same day when possible and update the Supervisor on any delays or parts on order.
- Understand that your time is billed out per hour. Do work that you would be willing to pay for if it was your property and your money.
- Provide corrective maintenance with regards to light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, painting, masonry, roofing, and HVAC repairs.
- Turn units over immediately after departure by performing all make-ready maintenance items on the same day; use turnover checklists to create a turn list of supplies and determine if a guest is responsible for any charges.
- The Company will provide specialized tools and equipment which must be maintained and stored correctly; must keep the maintenance shop in an orderly fashion and follow inventory controls (please note that you must provide your own transportation and basic tools).
- Keep the properties and all associated equipment in a safe condition.
- Sanitize common areas regularly to keep the properties looking respectable in efforts to protect our residents from germs and disease and to provide a positive guest experience, always being sure to use the proper PPE and quality products that sanitize effectively.
- Keep the job site cleaned up in preparation for the following day's work, always remembering that someone else may be returning to complete work and should not have to clean up your work.
- Provide a positive & professional guest, resident, and team member interaction.
- Provide weekend and evening coverage rotation to include on-call rotation
- Handle emergency maintenance requests while on-call rotation after regular business hours.
- Assist Maintenance Manager as requested in managing & purchasing maintenance supplies within budget upon approval of the Area Operations Manager for inventory control efforts.
- Work with vendors and maintain positive vendor relations.
- Work with the Grounds and Maintenance Manager to understand the asset’s redevelopment & construction, if necessary, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and scope-related work.
- Assist with controlled access, key fobs, mailboxes, amenity space, HVAC management, and other access-related items.
- Participate in Daily Huddles, Weekly L10 meetings, Weekly WIG, and any other company meetings as directed by your leader.
