Job Description:
Piqua Paper Box is looking for a Customer Service / Sales Professional to penetrate, manage, and grow a prospect customer base. This individual will be the face of Piqua Paper Box to prospective customers, and must be comfortable building rapport with new customers and be pro-active in resolving customer concerns. This individual will be responsible for growing our customer base by obtaining new customers, and selling new products to existing customers.
Growing business with customers recognized for their strategic importance in the area of set up packaging, associated products, and new customer development. This will involve making sales calls to assigned customers’ corporate headquarters and key plant sites, the coordination of sales and technical activities to support the sales plan, the ability to help generate and communicate delivered value, leading and facilitating business reviews, handling of RFQ’s, and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Deliver results
- Acquire new customers
- Negotiate prices and terms with end-use customers
- Earn customer’s trust/confidence, and establish personal and company credibility necessary to create a long term business relationship
- Actively engage in sales calls on existing customers and cold calling on prospective customers at a frequency that places PPB in the preferred position
- Develop a sufficient number of high potential prospects to generate long-term sales growth
- Investigate customer issues promptly and participate in issue resolution with all involved internal and external parties
- Develop, Coordinate and oversee internal sales support team
- Communicate effectively both in person and via electronic media
Competencies Required:
- Self-Motivated/Creative – A broad thinking “sales hunter” individual with creativity, high energy, and strong product and market knowledge
- Computer Proficiency – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management Tools
- College degree or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to work independently, successfully manage accounts, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment is essential
Competencies Required - continued:
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following key competencies required: Action Oriented; Problem Solving; Planning; Customer Focus; Listening; Technical Learning; Perseverance; Presentation skills; Process Management
- Ability to analyze/review characteristics of current customer mix to determine the best candidates for prospecting.
- Outside sales experience
- Willing to travel 2 days per week (may occasionally require overnight travel)
- Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of, and comfortable with social media (Facebook, Linked-in, Instagram)

Base Pay: $22/hr. + Commission
Other Pay: Compensation will be commission based with a draw
