Currently, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join the Union Grove, WI team while working in the Milwaukee and Madison areas. The role is primarily focused on developing lasting relationships with new and existing clients. The emphasis for this role is on Sales Development, Account Maintenance, and Customer Service.
This role must create new sales opportunities while overseeing and maintaining current client relationships. This includes organizing all the client information, preparing new estimates, sales presentations, and chaperoning the completion of all projects through the Asphalt Contractors, Inc. workflow.
The client load will vary based on scope of work with our clients, seasonality and new business acquisition. The Sales Account Representative’s currently facilitate multiple projects and clients at a time. It is the responsibility of this person to act as a conduit of information, for clients’ projects and internal workings and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a ‘Hunter’ type sales role. You will be expected to develop new business.
- Responsible for cold calling, prospect qualification, strategic sales process planning, sales presentations, project management, and closing all revenue opportunities. Company leads will be provided as well.
- Must feel comfortable presenting repair solutions and application concepts directly with customers and will be expected to answer a wide range of questions regarding the various services offered.
- Initiates job creation through client contact, prepares estimates, facilitates schedule requests within production team.
- Manages change requests and communication throughout the project that includes client requested changes and negotiating schedule adjustments. This also includes recognizing, capturing, and negotiating opportunities that were outside the original scope of work.
- Manages all job costs and invoicing to the client in a timely manner based on the scope of work or completion of the job.
- Completes and communicates project status externally with client and internally with executive and production teams. This includes electronic documentation.
- Collaborates with peers and internal team members on schedule management and provides training on client standards.
- Regularly report on key accomplishments and monitor key metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in a technical related field.
- Asphalt construction knowledge and estimating experience highly preferred or a lateral type of experience.
- Position requires handling multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and time management skills.
- Candidate should demonstrate planning skills and the ability to prioritize using information around due dates, clients, internal resource skill sets and when to escalate for assistance and awareness.
- Position requires a person with strong attention to details with exceptional problem solving skills dedicated to ensuring processes meet their requirements and provide adjustments when necessary.
- Ability to work both independently and within a dynamic team structure.
- Communication is in person and digitally through phone and email. As the day to-day contact with the client, you will always present yourself in a professional manner. The expectation is to balance listening and talking, writing clearly and accurately, influencing client timelines and keeping both the team and client informed.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules.
- Being respectful and courteous when interacting with others. A calm and collaborative demeanor is expected when working through conflict.
- Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Office software programs, specifically, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Role will require CRM usage.
- Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English is required.

- Travel requirements as needed.
