Duties:
Supervising Salon Operations:
Supervising Salon Operations:
- An area manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple salons. This involves ensuring that each salon is functioning effectively and efficiently, while also adhering to the company's policies and procedures. Some of these duties include:
- Hiring and firing staff members
- Following up with customer complaints
- Holding interviews with the staff on a monthly basis to gain knowledge about the salon’s operational issues, staff needs, and other items
- Inventory ordering and audits
- Fixing maintenance issues either by calling the appropriate contractor or another person to fix the issue
- Keeping ownership aware of any employee, maintenance, or operational issues on a weekly basis
Staff Management:
- The area manager oversees the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of salon staff. They ensure that staff is well-trained and equipped to provide high-quality services to clients.
- Ensure that we are not over/understaffed throughout the week
- Ensure that the staff is promoting retail products, memberships, and other services we provide to help boost the overall revenue of the store.
Financial Management:
- The area manager is responsible for monitoring the financial performance of each salon. This includes setting budgets, analyzing financial reports, and making adjustments to ensure profitability on a day-to-day basis.
- The area manager will also run the payroll on a bi-weekly basis
- Checking that clock in/out times are accurate
- All commission sales are accounted for
- Each employee is setup properly in the payroll system
Marketing and Sales (most important):
- The area manager may be responsible for developing marketing and sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. This involves identifying potential clients and creating promotions and other initiatives to increase sales.
Tiktok
- Create content for our local TikTok account on a weekly basis
Facebook Post
- Posting in local Facebook groups weekly to gain clientele
Local Marketing
- Partnering with local businesses through email blasts and TikTok collaborations
- Set up popups/booths to promote our business
- Partner with schools, dance academies, other salons, etc.
Sales Funnel Calls
- Looking at the CRM and being sure to call and follow up with prospective clients
Inventory Management:
- The area manager is responsible for managing the inventory of each salon. This includes ordering supplies and products, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring that each salon has the necessary resources to operate efficiently.
Customer Service:
- The area manager oversees the delivery of excellent customer service across all salons. This includes ensuring that staff is friendly and knowledgeable, addressing customer complaints, handling any issues that may arise, and ensuring our Google and Yelp reviews are at a 4.7+ rating.
- Respond to all reviews posted on Google
Compliance:
- The area manager ensures that each salon is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring that each salon is adhering to safety and health regulations, as well as any licensing requirements.
