Job Summary
UW Provision is a family-owned regional food distributor located in Middleton, and Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. We are seeking a Sanitation Associate who takes responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
This is a 2nd shift position and operates during the hours of 3 pm to 12 am. This position cleans all equipment and infrastructure in a thorough and efficient manner strictly adhering to UW Provision's safety rules and procedures. Dismantles, dry-cleans, and wet-cleans, inspects, and reassembles machines and equipment as directed.
Essential Functions
- Maintain cleanliness of processing equipment (pans, cutting tables, grinders, saws, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of plant, compactor, loading docks, office areas, lunchroom, restrooms, locker rooms, and maintenance areas
- Perform special cleaning projects such as cleaning refrigeration units
- Perform all duties within company safety standards; wear PPE and maintain safety equipment
- Reassembles all equipment back together for production
- Other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor
Qualifications
- One to three years in a sanitation position or relevant experience
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate
- Able and willing to work in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, and crouching regularly while performing job duties
- Being able to lift to 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 2 - 3 hours at a time
- Must be able to bend, twist, squat, climb and reach on occasion
