JOB GOAL: The Ralph D. Butler Elementary School is seeking a school nurse for a long term substitute position. This position runs from 8/28/23-12/22/23. The Butler school is a PreK-Grade 5 elementary school serving approximately 400 students in Avon and surrounding communities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: -Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness-Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities-Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene -Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings-Update students medical history -Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)-Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
