Department: Non-Ferrous Warehouse/Non-Ferrous Yard

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Grade materials visually and with magnets

Sort materials based on commodity grades

Process materials from their current state using alligator shear, reciprocating saw, and/or manual hand-tool disassembling

Maintain a well-organized and orderly production area by utilizing storage boxes, pallets, carts, and bins to store like-materials

Empty storage containers in the appropriate collection area, while making a strong effort to sort material of higher value into their respective collection area

Key Responsibilities:

Process and sort materials in accordance with the Company’s Non-Ferrous quality specifications; as directed by Management

Analyze Customer’s abilities to unload their material(s) and provide and/or facilitate assistance using additional manpower and/or equipment

Inspect equipment used to process materials routinely and report any mechanical and/or safety issues or concerns to Management

Assist with scale purchasing when needed

All other tasks assigned by Management

Requirements:

Forklift Operation

Ability to stand for long durations (possibly up to 4-hour increments)

Ability to lift up to 50 LBS, potentially frequently
