ROLE:
The Scrum Master will be part of a team responsible for supporting an aerial surveillance system for a Department of Defense customer. This position will lead an agile software development team for an integrated application that includes external system sensors and video. The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- The Scrum Master shall facilitate Scrum meetings and guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Define relevant metrics that are formulated and utilized for meeting project objectives.
- Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team.
- Shall plan and coordinate trainings and coaching for the team on the Scrum processes.
- Support development of documentation for integrated system suites supporting surveillance and security.
- Disseminate highly technical data and information in simplistic language for end users of complex systems and projects.
- Support Release Planning Reviews (RPRs). The RPRs will identify the fixes/capabilities/requirements to structure these changes into software increments
- Support Sprint Planning Reviews (SPR), Sprint Demonstration Reviews (SDR), and Sprint Retrospectives (SR). Demonstration of sprints will be witnessed by stakeholders as required.

QUALIFICATIONS*

Education/Certification: *Bachelors’ or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Scrum Master Certification.

Years of Experience: * Minimum 6 years’ experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: *
Required:
- Ability to lead a development team.
- Good interpersonal working skills in a team development environment with the ability to work independently as well.
- The ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of the full software life cycle development process and Agile
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with software design for interaction with cameras, gimbals, and radars
