Close the Loop (CtL) is looking for an energetic and motivated Second Shift Production Supervisor for its North America Headquarters located in Hebron, KY. Close the Loop provides best-in-class sustainability solutions to help companies create and elevate their corporate social responsibility programs. This involves designing and managing highly efficient toner and ink cartridge recycling, cosmetics plastic recycling, take back, recovery, and reuse programs.

This position is responsible for managing the floor activities in the Warehouse and designated Departments, as well as providing leadership and tactical vision focusing on customer service, continuous improvement, waste elimination and cost reduction. The position will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the designated lines and shifts in the plant.

Second Shift Production Supervisor Job Duties: (Actual duties and responsibilities may vary as a result of corporate directives, departmental objectives and special projects, in addition to the duties outlined below.)

Safety:
Provides a safe and clean workplace and conform to the generally accepted good manufacturing practices

Production:
Maintains acceptable inventory levels with impacted departments

Supports Production Scheduling for Department Check -In Lines with Production management

Enforce all plant and company policies and procedures

Develop and implement procedures for improving operations reducing cost without compromising product quality.

Provide valuable input for continuous improvement at staff meetings and periodic Management Meetings.

Coordinate operational changes

Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations

Initiate/prepare internal operational reports

Supports the coordination of moves between CtL and designated buildings with Production management

Supports staffing of Department Lines with Production management and Human Resources

Troubleshooting Department Lines

Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis

Coordinate completion of CRS system

Supervisory:
Develop employee capabilities through training, coaching, and outstanding communications and labor and employee relations

Coordinate employee vacation/time off requests to insure adequate manpower

Participate in Warehouse employee hiring process

Participate in employee evaluation process

Train and serve as First Responder for CtL

Responsible for all employees on Department-designated lines and shifts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong prior knowledge of production operations

Demonstrated ability to actively work toward achievement of team and individual goals

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, and Word

Willing to work overtime and weekends when required

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to ensure appropriate communication both internally and externally

Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask and hit deadlines

Ability to organize tasks and work independently or as a team

Ability to use good judgment and to problem-solve

Accuracy and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills

Exceptional skills in data management and analysis preferred

Qualifications:
Associate?s Degree in Management or a related field or 5+ years of directly related experience

at least 3 supervisory experience

Forklift certification a plus
