Job Summary:
Provide analytical and decision support in the preparation and presentation of Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) deal valuation models to Sysco's field and executive leadership teams. The position will participate in financial due diligence pre-closing, prepare closing financial workbooks, support integration action step development, and participate in broader integration efforts both pre-closing and post-closing. The position will also monitor previous acquisitions through a formalized look back process. The position will interact closely with many internal and external constituents, inclusive of M&A team, Legal, Construction/Real Estate (RE), Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, Tax, field and executive leaders, and third parties including business owners and bankers.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare extensive M&A deal valuation models inclusive of historical trending and future projection analysis, balance sheet review, operating assumption builds, synergy projections and investment returns.
- Present model conclusions to the field and corporate leadership teams.
- Prepare deal-related presentations in conjunction with different Sysco stakeholders and external advisors.
- Assist in the deal execution and financial due diligence of targeted acquisitions (analyze Quality of Earnings, establish target working capital, and help ensure terms of the purchase agreement are met).
- Prepare closing balance sheet, collaborating with Seller and multiple internal parties.
- Support preparation and review of working capital adjustments and earn-out calculations.
- Support the development of integration action steps and participate in the deal integration team.
- Monitor previous acquisitions through a formalized look back process for BOD.
- Support ad hoc analysis for the broader team (M&A, cash flow planning, capital planning).
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field.
Experience
- 2 years of investment banking, corporate finance, auditing, or business valuation experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- CFA a plus
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills, excellent negotiation and influence ability.
- Advanced ability to work at granular levels of detail and quickly move to a high-level communication mode with senior management.
- Ability to comfortably work under the time pressures typical in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and senior management support.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Genuine interest in finance and M&A
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
