- This position is located in our Greenwood Village, CO office and eligible for a hybrid schedule.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Maintains and supports effective relationships with business partners to support a productive working relationship between groups
- Reviews, analyzes and documents business systems in order to support technology and business needs
- Collaborates with the team to help translate business requirements into suitable technology solutions; initiates efforts towards creating suitable technology solutions to meet business needs
- Provides business process and business use case support in order to help match business needs with technology solutions
- Supports the technology team by working with business partners to make process improvement suggestions such
- as business process changes, training, and software enhancements
- Initiates discussions with business units, the technology team, and/or vendors to help remove roadblocks
- Applies system development methodologies to analytical tasks for custom application projects including the development of detailed business requirements and functional design documentation
- Creates and maintains documentation including business process, system procedure, detailed business requirements/expectations, and functional design documentation, as well as functional specifications used to guide the software changes and test script artifacts used for validation; paying special attention to the impact, scope, root cause, and preventive measures as well as short- and long-term solutions to ensure learning and continuous improvements are at the core of the support model
- Manages project plans and tasks assigned within scope, quality, and timeframe allocated
- Tracks and documents all required changes for use in the definition of the final deliverable(s) and management of changes
- Ensures issues are documented, communicated, assessed and escalated on a timely basis
- Documents major business scenarios and maps requirements to test scenarios
- Supports test script development; facilitates and supports User Acceptance Testing with business partners and development team
- Assists with the development, QA, and stage level of testing for any technology changes to ensure existing functionality is being adequately protected while a suitable solution is delivered
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Analyzes results achieved versus results expected
- Configures system settings and options to ensure business requirements are satisfied
- Assists with the identification and documentation of risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions in accordance with project standards
- Collaborates with the manager on escalation items; may monitor and report the progress of the same to the management team
- Management of the enhancement requests and KACE tickets
- Assists front office with report writing, vendor testing, advanced spreadsheet operations and all trade-related matters
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance or related field required; relevant work experience in lieu of degree may be considered
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the advisor services industry and technologies
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with brokerage trading systems
- Experience with internal and external system integrations
- Banking and financial services experience
- Agile Scrum experience preferred
- MS SQL skills
- Experience with system and process diagramming tools
- Ability to support SLAs
- Understanding of the core financial applications
- Continuous Product Improvement methodology
- Intermediate-level SQL query writing ability
- Intermediate-level business systems analysis
- Intermediate-level project management techniques/methodologies and principles
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office
