This position is for a business development professional for USAF focused business within our Simulation and Training Solutions Air Combat portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, incubating, pursuing, and capturing simulation and training opportunities for Defense platforms. The position will primarily focus on USAF AFLCMC opportunities. The environment is fast paced, highly technical and challenging.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work with a team of business development and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business

  • Day to day activity includes responsibility for developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers

  • Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis

  • Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities

  • Working with cross-functional, cross-enterprise teams

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise. Represents organization as a prime contact on projects

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, where erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would have a serious impact on the organization

  • Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date

  • Direct experience working with or in the U.S. DoD/DoE/DHS community, USAF MAJCOM or HQ USAF, USAF AFLCMC, NAWC TSD

  • Direct experience working with platform OEMs, Boeing, LMCO, and Northrop Grumman

  • Demonstrated understanding of training requirements for Flight, Maintenance, and Mission specific training needs

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense aerospace/electronic industry positions

  • Demonstrated professional verbal, writing and presentation skills

  • Passion to lead and grow the business

  • Position is located in Dayton, OH or Washington, DC but may be remote depending on qualifications

  • Travel up to 25% may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with USAF NTTR (Nellis Test and Training Range) VTTC (Virtual Test and Training Center)

  • Experience with Navy Fallon ITF (Integrated Training Facility)

  • Experience with JPARC (Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex) and/or similar joint large scale exercises

  • Experience with simulation and training environments (DMON, NCTE, WarRoom)

  • Experience with weapon simulation and modeling (FAAC, NGTS, MACE, Raytheon Weapon Server, AARI-II)

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline

  • Salesforce CRM tool experience

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
