POSITION SUMMARY

The Accountant is responsible for supporting general, cost, consolidation and regulatory and bank compliance accounting functions for the multi-site, international manufacturing and distribution network. The position will support management reporting, standard cost management, perform monthly variance calculations, maintain and test appropriate controls and policies and liaise with senior management and local operating management to monitor and improve operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Perform accounting tasks and analyses across multiple international manufacturing sites.
• Maintain and reconcile daily and weekly transactional revenue and cost registers.
• Adhoc analysis to support management programs and productivity and growth initiatives
• Develop and implement process and technology platforms to improve reporting and controls
• Analyze and report monthly cost and revenue variances to local and corporate management.
• Analyze and report on production efficiencies across all sites.
• Build and support activity-based budgeting models to help analyze variance and year over year productivity
• Develop, test and monitor internal controls related to financial consolidations, reporting and manufacturing cost and inventories.
• Support implementation and operation of the Oracle financial suite including ERP, Planning and Budgeting and Oracle APEX Datawarehouse and operational decision support systems.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor s degree in accounting with a minor or double major in information systems preferred.
• Accounting credits sufficient for CPA eligibility
• Excellent analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with Microsoft Access or other SQL based coding languages a plus.
• Exposure to Oracle APEX tool suite
