Position Summary:

Take ownership of all features and modules of a larger data product.

Gathers and verifies technical requirements. Authors and audits technical designs for systems

Troubleshooting across multiple systems and dealing with related external dependencies

Authors new small and/or well-defined programming tasks. Debugs own code. Designs for testability and documents how to test a feature and/or technology. Competent in programming and debugging across multiple modules and dealing with related external dependencies. Writes high-quality code with domain in mind

Collects and uses metrics. Develops according to specific requirements with awareness of scalability, hardware capabilities, and cross-environment and platform implications. Implements optimizations with direction.

Deploys new approaches to domain with measurable ROI. Anticipates domain requirements and defines solutions. Provides practical implementations of emerging technologies.

100% telecommuting role. Reports to company headquarters in Norfolk, VA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
Required Minimum Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study AND Two (2) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study AND Two (2) Years of experience, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study AND Five (5) Years of experience In the job offered or related occupation.
Position also requires demonstrated experience in the following:

ETL tools (Extract, Transform, and Load)

SQL programming language
-
Data pipelines using ETL tools,

CI/CD tools, and SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL

Agile and other standard SDLC processes

Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/Google cloud

Scripting languages like Python, Java, and Scala

Full development lifecycle from requirements gathering, estimating, design, development, and implementation

Salary Range:
$82,000.00 - $126,000.00

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, specific working location and market position. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and PRA Group reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications and location of the selected candidate. In addition to base salary, PRA may offer additional benefits to include performance based bonus programs and/or equity programs depending on the position.
