As the Senior Director, Channel Management, you’ll make life easier for people living with diabetes by making Medtronic Diabetes products available in pharmacies. As a bold leader committed to shaping Medtronic Diabetes’ future, you will build the pharmacy channel for rapid growth. You will help to shape the future of Diabetes care by playing a key role in defining products to be sold in pharmacies and driving access to our products in a way that resonates with and appeals to our customers.

You and your team will work with Pharmacy Benefit Managers and select Health Plan Pharmacies and their Benefit Managers to make our products more readily available to people living with Diabetes. The key metrics for your success will include revenue and market share growth as well as customer growth, engagement, and retention.

A Day in The Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

· Create and own the Pharmacy Channel for our Diabetes operating unit

· As the expert on How to Win in the pharmacy channel, play a vital role in shaping the product strategy, establishing the channel, and generating revenue

· Identify innovative ways to grow the pharmacy business, creating novel marketing concepts such as partnerships, customer services, clinical evidence dossiers, and new media

· Accountable for achieving targets on sales, market share growth, product access, and launch of our products through the pharmacy channel

· Ensure that the priorities of the Medtronic Diabetes systems are executed in the most efficient and effective manner across the pharmacy partners to speed impact for patients. To do so, navigate the complexities of service agreements and network contracts, working with Brand, Legal, Compliance, Contracting and Account Teams to develop strategies and execute contracts in a timely manner

· Understanding Channel dynamics - recognize key business drivers, channel influencers, patient flows, and customer journeys. Drive channel strategy through understanding the marketplace, key issues, trends, competitive positioning, and activities of the key competitors

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or Advanced Degree with a minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience

Nice to Have

· Advanced business degree (MBA) or Pharmacy degree preferred

· 15 or more years of overall work experience is required, with a preference for at least 10 years in the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry with experience working with National PBM's

· Experience working with managed care, wholesale/distributor/secondary distributor, DME, and retail/mail order/specialty pharmacy operations experience preferred

· In-depth understanding of the Pharmacy marketplace including key dynamics, competitors, regulatory and market

· Exceptional execution skills, with a track record of turning strategies into actionable tactics and delivering on financial and strategic commitments

· Experience working effectively and leading and influencing in multiple stakeholder environments required

· Previous people management experience is required with proven track record of developing leaders and teams

· Demonstrated track record of successful channel creation with proven experience in product launch and product commercialization processes and P&L responsibility

· Experience working in ambiguous environment; ability to shape insights into strategy and deliver executional excellence is required

· Experience in the account management or sales/field personnel management is highly preferred

· Experience with understanding and creating contract terms, conditions and partnering with legal on business issues is preferred

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively within large, public companies, with a focus on collaboration and internal network building

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc.
