Job Description
- Design plant power distribution systems starting at the incoming power supply from the utility department and continuing through the unit substations located within the plant.
- Design low voltage power distribution from in plant unit substations continuing through power distribution panels and motor control centers.
- Specify and write up bills of materials and equipment specifications required for the above-mentioned power distribution systems.
- Must be familiar with coordination, load, capacity, fault, studies, as well as, arc flash labeling. Current code knowledge is required.
- Develop single line diagrams, load and cable schedules and demolition drawings, and oversee these tasks as executed by others.
- Supervise the work of outside electrical contractors.
- Ability to communicate with client to determine client requirements and identify areas to improve client process and experience.
- Ability to develop scope of work documents, along with engineering/material/construction estimates.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical design experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree preferred. Alternative qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or graduation from an acceptable technical program plus relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years AutoCAD experience
- Controls knowledge a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.87 - $45.67 per hour
