Job : Senior IT Engineer
Location: Savannah, GA
Type: Full Time

Senior IT Engineer Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and manage the Office 365 environment including Licensing, AD, Exchange and Defender

· Manage Windows OS deployments via Intune, application packaging & distribution on a worldwide scale

· Troubleshoot all aspects of the toolset effectively & maintain performance and health

· Ensure stable and secure user computing environment

· Execute changes within downtime window without production impact

· Create technical documents, knowledge articles and SOP's and other deliverables to train Service Desk staff to perform as much of the user-facing administration as possible (such as onboarding/offboarding, configuring access, installing approved software, etc.)

· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

· Troubleshoot issues and outages

· Ensure security through Microsoft Defender and Azure Sentinel access controls and anti-virus/anti-malware tools

· Implement the strategic, long-term information security strategy and roadmap to ensure that MacroSource’s computing and information assets are adequately protected.

· Manage regular intrusion detection, vulnerability reporting, penetration tests, phishing tests, and any internal and external reviews/assessments, and coordinate the resolution of identified recommendations.

· Lead the development of up-to-date information security policies and procedures

· Partner with infrastructure and applications teams to ensure that technologies are developed, deployed, and maintained according to security policies and guidelines.

· Oversee incident response planning and the investigation of security breaches, and assist with any associated disciplinary, public relations and legal matters.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or equivalent

· 5 years of experience in deploying and administering a Microsoft infrastructure

· 1 year experience with information security/cybersecurity

· One or more of MCSA/MCSE/Office 365 certifications

· ITIL certification (preferred)

· Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role

· Experience with networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

· Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

· In-depth knowledge of software distribution

· Solid understanding of standard networking and Internet concepts

· Proven experience on Scripting – PowerShell, VBScript, or other languages

· Understanding and experience in working within an ITIL framework operational environment.

· Experience working with some or all technologies below:

· Intune, Office 365, Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

· Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions

· Group Policy Management and Deployment

· Knowledge of core Infrastructure services and functions (ADFS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

· Microsoft Windows Server

· Remote control tools

· Log management solutions

Skills

· Excellent communication skills & exceptional “bed-side” manner

· Problem solver skills to diagnose, resolve and repair configurations and services

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

· Ability to lead troubleshooting for issues both known and unknown across IT domains. Strong analytical skills for solving technical issues, isolation of application / network performance / server / storage issues

· Proven ability to provide technical recommendations to solve short- and long-term issues

· Proven ability to create technical design documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
