Position Summary

Partner with our Building Engineer to ensure the building and facility is livable, safe, and compliant by performing regular inspections, preventive and routine maintenance, repairs and coordinating and managing vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the high rise building and systems are maintained and in safe working order (mechanical systems, chillers, boilers, high/low voltage electrical, fans and blowers, pool/spa equipment, sprinkler systems and lighting)
• Manage SDS manual
• Manage preventive inspection and maintenance schedule and corresponding work
• Keep accurate operational, maintenance and repair logs
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, projects and repairs
• Plan and implement modifications and improvements
• Schedule and coordinate state inspections of building and equipment (annual fire system testing, elevator inspections, recall testing, etc.)
• Ensure the building has required permits
• Ensure emergency maintenance situations are handled timely and properly
• Maintain an emergency response plan, including vendors and other necessary contacts
• Mentor, coach and develop maintenance associates

What we are looking for

• Hands on experience working with large tonnage centrifugal and magnetic chillers, hydronic boilers, cooling towers, flat plates, high voltage pumps, fan motors and air compressors
• Knowledge of Commercial systems to include Chillers, Boilers, High/Low Voltage Electrical, Fans/Blowers, Swimming Pool/Spa, Troubleshooting capabilities of all previous mentioned systems
• Organized, with the ability to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands
• Able to use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely
• Superior manual dexterity skills
• Understanding of budgeting
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail oriented

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of commercial maintenance experience is required
• 2+ years of maintenance experience for an HOA
• 2+ years of facilities or high-rise management preferred
• EPA 608 certification preferred

Physical Demands and Working Environment

• Sit or stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Able to perform in various weather conditions (i.e. rain, heat, cold, wind, etc.)
• Able to respond to on-site emergencies on nights, holidays, and/or weekends

Work Location:Regency on Central, 2323 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004

Work Hours:Monday – Friday, 7:30a – 3:30p and on-call as needed for emergencies
