Position: Senior Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Location: Herb Pharm, Central Point Site after training period at Williams location
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities.
- Repair a wide variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with Production, Safety, and Quality Control on continuous improvement projects.
- Perform PM and repair work in accordance with Pharmaceutical/ Food Safety principles.
- Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, and allied mechanical equipment when directed or when directly related to electrical trouble shooting.
- Installs, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C portable electrical equipment. Installs, trouble-shoots, and repairs solid state and other electronic equipment, proficient with AC/DC control circuits and controls.
- Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary.
- Inspects machines and completes reports and paperwork as required for company records.
- Helps maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts form parts room, using parts ordering procedure, and restocking inventory.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ensures efficient department operation by participating in all team meetings, willingly assisting co-workers to balance workload. Assist in training Mechanic 1 and Mechanic 2 employees.
- Possess a working knowledge of power tools such as drill presses, cut off saw, lathes, mills, and table tools.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, megohmmeter, ammeter.
- Interpret and troubleshoot semi-complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams on portable electrical equipment as instructed.
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, air systems, and be able to read semi-complex diagrams and trouble shoot working systems.
- Possess knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed.
- Fabrication and layout skills.
- Follow (LOTO) all Safety procedures and Company Safety Policy and wear all personal protective equipment as required.
- Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation following all safety guidelines.
Education and Experience:
- Two-year college or technical school degree or certification
- Vocational Journeyman’s Card
- Current valid driver’s license
- Manufacturing Machine repair and troubleshooting
- Electrical troubleshooting of portable processing equipment
- Basic math and computer skills are necessary
- Possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Technical experience in Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage processing and/or Liquid packaging and labeling
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical and mechanical blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, bending, reaching, standing while performing maintenance tasks; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Work environment can be noisy requiring PPE; conditions may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts, and to understand communications from others. Ability to maintain composure, listen and respond appropriately. Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Aptitude for learning new computer software
