Agfa HealthCare Corporation’s Greenville, SC, headquarters seeks a Senior Program Engineer. This is a fully remote position, and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States to plan, execute, and finalize healthcare IT and imaging projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Will also: (i) plan, execute, and finalize healthcare IT and imaging projects according to scope, schedule and budget constraints; (ii) schedule and manage efforts of Agfa Professional Services, third party vendors and customer resources to deliver projects according; (iii) use Healthcare IT best practices and protocols to build hardware and software implementation plans for customers; and (iv) move information across team members, clinical, and business managers internally and externally.
This position also requires frequent customer facing interactions with our customer base, which consist of reviewing software implementation projects on a business, clinical and technical level as well as conducting meetings and working sessions with customers’ stakeholders and managing go-live events at one or more physical locations.
This is a fully remote position, and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States, but he/she must also be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally to various unanticipated employer and client locations to provide technical support up to 80%.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Engineering or a directly related field plus six (6) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Must also have Project Management certification.
Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Clinical Workflows and Technical Upgrades of software platforms as well as implementation of Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS); (ii) PACS application functionality, in/out data migrations and integrations with RIS Systems; (iii) technical installation, configuration, and deployment of Clinical Data Broker, DICOM, HL7 and IHE protocols as well as Oracle database architecture and use cases; (iv) how to leverage AGFA's system capabilities to integrate 3rd party systems, such as Orthopedics software; (v) designing, consulting, and implementing workflows related with clinical reporting as well as working with physicians and technical staff to analyze and improve delivery of medical diagnosis using PACS and RIS digital systems; (vi) applications of Active Directory and LDAP in a Healthcare IT environment; (vii) deployment of servers on a virtual server farm (VMWare) as well as digital Imaging Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) overall functionality and integrations; (viii) structuring user requirements, technical, and business needs into a consolidated hardware and software solution and implementation plan; (ix) clinical radiology workflows, clinical images generation, storage and distribution; (x) design and setup of disaster recovery solutions for Healthcare IT; and (xi) managing implementation projects, defining tasks, organizing dependencies, and estimating durations and managing project costs.
Experience can be concurrent.
