We are hiring a Senior Safety Consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of environmental challenges in the following areas:

- ISO 14001/18001 / 45000, Management Systems
- Laser Safety
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
- Machine Guarding
- Process Hazard Assessments
- Robotics Safety
- RoHS/WEEE (Product Stewardship)
- Safety Process Improvement

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help develop and implement innovative H&S programs and strategies in the areas of Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), hazard communication/chemical management, occupational health programs, safety management systems, process safety and risk management, industrial hygiene assessments, and technical support.
- Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions.
- Support our clients desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
- Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments.
- Learn and grow as a safety professional through frequent internal and external training as well as exposure to interesting projects and advanced customer experiences.
- Spend time onsite with clients throughout Silicon Valley and the Bay Area to help solve their most pressing H&S challenges.
- Assist the world’s most innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.
- Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives.
- Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
- Begin to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage and develop your skills and help solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.
- Be an active team member on projects and maintain client’s scope/budget/schedule expectations.
- Ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/MS in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Engineering, or related science degree.
- 7+ years relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.
- Ability to travel 50%-75% within the SF Bay Area as well as some occasional travel outside of the local Bay Area. The remaining 50% WFH/remote and occasionally in office
- Ability to conduct work on client work sites under COVID-19 protocols.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Former or current experience Managing/Leading others preferred but not required.
- CSP, CIH, or similar certification/qualification highly desirable but not required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or a related science or engineering degree highly desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal EHS regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.
- Good team player, especially during challenging situations.
- Ethical, responsive, and positive.
- Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive
- Effectively and succinctly, communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.

Pay Transparency (CA, CO, WA, NY, NJ):
The typical hiring range for this role is $87,665 to $116,213. This is the typical hiring range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
