Job Title: Senior Lead Software Engineer
Department: R&D, DNA and Forensics
Reporting to: Manager of Software Engineering- DNAF
Location: Baltimore, MD. (Hybrid work- 2 days in-office)
Hours of work: Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM EST. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.
Overview:
The Senior Lead Software Developer is involved in the entire software development lifecycle -- from design and development to testing and deployment. More specifically, Senior Lead Software Developer is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining our superior DNA software including adapting it to new hardware, improving its performance, and upgrading its interfaces. The Senior Lead Software
Developer will also be involved in validation procedures, troubleshooting, and working with internal teams on technical issues including software system design and maintenance is important.

Essential Functions:
- Participate in software development using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Deliver results for project and program deliverables & participate in release activities
- Ability to lead and work in a team-oriented environment where team members and business partners are located in the US, Canada, and internationally
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple tasks to meet established deadlines while accommodating rapidly changing priorities
- Participate in gathering product requirements and specifications
- Participate in code reviews, develop, and execute unit and integration tests as required
- Perform defect root cause analysis and provide resolution
- Provide on-call support to the customer services team
- Provide timely support to quality assurance team
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of software development experience
- Experience in software development leveraging a variety of languages such as C#, VB.NET, etc.

- Experience in database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies; TSQL, stored procedures, functions, etc.
- Front end application development experience using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery
- Proficiency in building SOAP, RESTful APIs, WCF, swagger docs, etc.
- Experience with at least one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory):
- Responsive web application development with Microsoft MVC framework, Bootstrap, DevExpress,
Infragistics
- Knowledge of ORM tools such as Microsoft Entity Framework, LLBL
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Jira, Git
- Knowledge of the SAFe framework
- AWS Cloud Certification
- Automated CI/CD
