The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are happy to announce a full-time, hybrid Senior Support Technician position filled with many exciting opportunities! In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the FrankCrum business everyday by performing performing technical support functions and providing technical support to employees and clients.

  • Performs work on servers, network equipment, appliances, desktop equipment, voice systems, desktop systems, peripherals, and vendor services for the information technology department.
  • Evaluates workload and capacity of systems to determine feasibility of expanding or enhancing computer operations. Makes recommendations for improvements in computer systems.
  • Evaluates and tests vendor-supplied software packages, upgrades, and patches for microcomputers to determine compatibility with existing system, ease of use, and if software meets user needs.
  • Conducts system backups, capacity reviews, patching levels, performance monitoring and tuning. Maintains systems configurations to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
  • Performs various system administration functions including active directory maintenance, patch management, email configuration, appliance configuration, system functions such as releasing jobs, emails, updating parameters, software, and hardware upgrades. Coordinates work requests with external vendors.
  • Maintains system security, adds and removes users, maintains security settings, and performs periodic reviews.
  • Provides user support. Assists user to resolve computer-related problems, such as inoperative hardware or software. Trains workers in use of new software or hardware. Provides help desk coverage. Maintains help desk tracking system.
  • Stays current with technology. Reads technical journals or manuals and attends vendor seminars to learn about new computer hardware and software. Achieves and maintains relevant certifications.
  • Clocks in and out consistently and accurately by using the electronic timeclock system for all time worked and does not perform any work when not clocked-in.


The Attributes We Seek

Keys to success in this position include knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and programs to a broad extent. A high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience required in areas such as Microsoft technology knowledge including Server, Exchange, Azure AD, Active Directory, O/S patches. Security appliances for spam management, firewalls, local area networking, storage area networks, PC, laptops, virtual machines, VDIs, telephony products, disaster recovery, and virtualization. Experience imaging/configuring computers is needed.
