The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center Advisor is to be responsible for writing comprehensive Collision Center damage estimates, establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, negotiating with insurance adjusters, and completing accurate and timely billing and other shop income related activities.

The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center Advisor must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently excellent preparation, attitude, and teamwork.

• Establish and maintain working relationships with insurance companies and insurance adjustors.
• Greet all customers promptly and give a fair estimate on the cost and time of the body work.
• Update customers and keep them informed during the repair process.
• Providing customers an appointed time to drop off and pick up vehicle before and after repairs so sufficient time is available to review insurance paperwork, check payments, etc.
• Upselling repairs and/or maintenance to customers.
• Schedule customers for vehicle repairs.
• Review and update repair orders written.
• Accurate and timely review of repair order invoices.
• Find creative solutions to issues that may arise before, during, and after the repair process.
• Exceptional telephone etiquette.
• Ensure insurance supplements are documented.
• Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction during and after repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
• Must have 3 years of experience using estimating software (CCC preferred).
• Have or have the ability to obtain a New York State Estimator’s license within 1 year of hire.
• Service Advisor experience preferred.
• ASE/I-CAR Certification preferred.
• Ability to withstand the physical demands of the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,728.80 - $98,479.96 per year
